Buttermilk Biscuits

2 cups self-rising flour
1 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup shortening
1 cup buttermilk

Combine the flour and salt and cut in the shortening.
Stir in buttermilk until well blended.
Roll out dough to 1/2 inch thickness on a floured board and cut out biscuits with a juice glass.
Place on a lightly greased baking sheet and bake 15-20 minutes at 425 degrees.

Makes about 2 dozen.
