Hughes’ Homemade Coconut Cream Pie

4 Tablespoons cornstarch
salt
2/3 cup coconut
2-1/4 cup milk
3 egg yolks
3 Tablespoon margarine
1 teaspoon vanilla
Mix sugar, cornstarch and salt in pan.
Mix half of milk with mixture.
Mix remaining milk and eggs together. Add to mixture.
Cook until thickens and lumpy.
Pour into bowl with margarine.
Add coconut and vanilla.
When cooled, pour into pie shell.
