Southern Apple Cake

3 eggs
1-1/4 cups oil
2 cups sugar
2-1/2 cups self-rising flour
2 medium apples, peeled and chopped
1 cup coconut
1 cup pecans

TOPPING:
1/2 stick butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup milk

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Grease a tube pan.
Blend eggs, oil and sugar until creamy.
Add flour a little at a time and blend well.
Batter will be stiff.
Fold in apples, coconut and pecans.
Pour into tube pan.
Bake 1 hour. Remove from pan after 30 minutes.

TOPPING:
Mix ingredients in a saucepan.
Boil for 3 minutes and pour over cake.
